Solution

The correct option is A Rapid turgor pressure changes

Venus flytrap is a type of insectivorous plant. It gets Nitrogen from the insect. It has the specialized leaves to capture insects. The leaves have winged petiole with toothed jaws. The upper surface of the jaw contains hairs, which are very sensitive to touch stimuli. When an insect touches these hairs, then there is a rapid change in the turgor pressure. Hence, in the closure of leaves insect is trapped.
