The glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm which leads to the production of 8 ATP. The next step is the Krebs's cycle which takes place in the mitochondrial matrix and leads to the production of 30 ATP.
Further, the electrons are feed to electron transport system which synthesises the ATP by the enzyme ATP synthase in oxysomes of the mitochondria.
