Question

The adjacent angles of a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:1. Find the measures of all the angles.

Open in App
Solution

Let the measures of the adjacent angles of the parallelogram be x and 2x. The sum of adjacent angles in a parallelogram is 180°.

The other two angles also measure x and 2x. This is due to the fact that opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal.

Hence, the measures of the angles are 60°, 120°, 60° and 120°.
