The adjacent side of a parallelogram are 15 cm and 8 cm. If the distance between the longer sides is 4 cm, find the distance between the shorter sides.

Let ABCD be a paralleogram
Given is that the adjacent sides of ||gm are 15 cm and 8 cm.
Area of parallelogram=15×4=60 cm 2
(Area of parallelogram = base×height)
Similarly using the shorter side as base we can find area of the parallelogram to be
8×h=60
h=152=7.5 cm
