Solution

Given: l(AB) = 5.5 cm, l(BC) = 6.5 cm, m∠B = 65°

Steps of construction:
(1) Draw a line segment AB = 5.5 cm.
(2) Then, construct an angle of 65° at B, i.e. ABX.
(3) With B as centre, cut ray BX to 6.5 cm at point C.
(4) With C as centre, draw an arc of radius 5.5 cm.
(5) With A as centre, draw an arc of radius 6.5 cm cutting the previously drawn arc at D.
(6) Join AD and CD.

The required parallelogram ABCD is thus drawn.
