The correct option is D Sikhs from outside Punjab came to support the movement.
The first Jatha of 500 people started from Akal Takhat under the leadership of Jathedar Udham Singh. People of Majha and Malwa had joined the Jatha. The Sikhs were warned to go back, but the Jatha proceeded forward. When they were one furlong or 200 metres away from Gangsar Gurudwara, the British opened fire. When Sikhs outside Punjab heard of the movement, people poured in from Calcutta, Canada, Shanghai and Hong Kong to Jaito.
