Let x gm of weight will produce an extension of 17.4 cm
Therefore :
Weight (in gm)150xExtension (in cm)2.917.4
1502.9=x17.42.9×x=150×17.4x=150×17.42.9x=150×174×1029×10=9000
Weight = 900 gm
