The wave equation, in general, is given by,

y=f(kxvt)

the equation of the given wave is, y=11+(xvt)2 ...(1)

Now,

At t=0, y=11+x2

At t=1 s, y=11+(x2)2 ...(2)

Comparing equations (1) and (2), we get,

vt=2

v×1=2

v=2 m/s
