The angle of elevation of the top of building from the foot of the tower is 30o and the angle of top of the tower from the foot of the building is 60o. If the tower is 50m high. Find the height of the building.

Let building be AB and tower be CD
Height of tower (CD)=50m
In right angled DBC,
tan60o=DCBC

3=50BC

BC=503

Similarly, in right angled ABC,
tan30=ABBC

13=AB503

13=AB×350

AB=13×503

AB=503m
Hence, height of building is 503m
