The angles of a triangle are in A.P. If the greatest angle is twice the least, find the greatest angle.

Let three angles be (ad), a and (a+d)
Then, (ad)+a+(a+d)=180
(3a)=180a=60
Given, greatest angle is twice of least angle
(a+d)=2(ad)
a=3d60=3dd=20
Hence, required angles are (6020), 60 and (60+20), i.e. 40,60 and 80.
The greatest angle is 80
