Question

The angles P, Q, R and S of a PQRS are in the ratio 1:3:7:9, find the measure of each angle.

Solution

In PQRS,
By the angle addition property of a quadrilateral,
P+Q+R+S = 360°
Now,
Let P = x, Q = 3x, R = 7x and S = 9x, where x is any multiple of P , Q , R and S. Thus, we have:x+3x+7x+9x = 360°20x = 360°x = 18°Thus, the measures of the angles of quadrilateral PQRS are:P = 18° Q = 54°R = 126° and S= 162°
