Solution

The correct option is D

All the above

Correct option:

D) Anomalous pairs: These are the elements that do not follow the increasing order of atomic mass trend in Mendeleev's periodic table.

Co- atomic mass 58.9 and Ni atomic mass 58.6 - Co is placed before Ni.

Te-atomic mass 127.6 and I atomic mass 126.9- Te is placed before I

Ar- atomic mass 39.9 and K atomic mass 39.09 - Ar is placed before K.

Mendeleev while arranging the elements in the increasing order of their atomic masses, these pairs of elements were placed in such a way that the element with more atomic mass is placed before the element with less atomic mass and he did not justify ,hence it remains as a limitation.

Hence, D) is the correct option- all are anomalous pairs.
