Egestion is the disposal of undigested material/food. Easily confused with execretion, which is also the disposal of waste products, but it include things like carbon dioxide, sweat etc

OR

The expulsion of undigested food from the gut through the anus is egestion.
Egestion is different from excretion because excretion involves the removal of any and all waste products that are generated in the body, while egestion is the removal of undigested waste material from the gut through the anus.
