The correct option is C Taste receptors
Earthworms have specialized receptor cells. They possess light and touch sensitive receptor cells to distinguish the light intensities and to feel the vibrations in the ground.
These receptors are of three types: epidermal receptors, buccal receptors and photoreceptors.
Epidermal receptors are tactile (relating to the sense of touch). Buccal receptors are also known as chemoreceptors. They react to chemical stimuli. They are confined to the epithelium of the buccal chamber and are responsible for gustatory and olfactory senses (relating to taste and smell) in earthworms.
Photoreceptors are restricted only to the dorsal surface and are more numerous on prostomium and peristomium. They help the earthworms in determining the intensity and duration of light.
Heat receptors are absent in earthworms.
