The bases of messenger RNA are complementary to those of DNA strand. Again each adnine (A) of DNA these appears on RNA, the base uracil(U) opposite guanine (G) is cytosine (C) and vice versa and opposite thymine (T) is adnine (A). Thus the anticodon of GCA would be CGU.
