Solution

The correct option is D 6.75 cm2
Let the sides of the triangle be a = 2.4 cm, b = 5.8 cm and c = 6.8 cm.
Semi-perimeter of triangle, (s)
=a+b+c2
=2.4+5.8+6.82
= 7.5 cm
Area of triangle =s(sa)(sb)(sc)
=7.5×(7.52.4)×(7.55.8)×(7.56.8)
=7.5×5.1×1.7×0.7
=1.7×7.5×3×0.7
6.75cm2
Hence, the correct answer is option (d).
