Opposite sides of rectangle are equal.
Hence, $3 (y + 1) = 2 (y + 3) .$
i.e., $3 y + 3 = 2 y + 6$
$⟹ y = 3$
Similarly, $2 (x + 3) = x + 8$
i.e., $2 x + 6 = x + 8$
$⟹ x = 2$
Hence, the sides of the rectangle are $3 (y + 1) = 3 (3 + 1) = 12$ and $2 (x + 3) = 2 (2 + 3) = 10.$
