Area covered by pink colour = Area of 5 square grids
= 5 $\times$ area of 1 square grid
Area covered by orange colour = Area of 7 square grids
= 7 $\times$ area of 1 square grid
Difference between their area
= 7 $\times$ area of 1 square grid - 5 $\times$ area of 1 square grid
= 2 $\times$ area of 1 square grid
4 sq. cm = 2 $\times$ area of 1 square grid
Area of 1 square grid = 4 $÷$ 2 = 2 sq.cm
