Solution

The correct option is C length =17, breadth =9
Let the length and breadth of the rectangle be x and y.
Area of rectangle =xy
According to given condition:
(x5)(y+3)=xy9
xy+3x5y15=xy93x5y=6 ....(i)

and
(x+3)(y+2)=xy+67
xy+2x+3y+6=xy+672x+3y=61 .....(ii)
On multiplying equation (i) by 2, we get,
6x10y=12 ....(iii)
On multiplying equation (ii) by 3, we get,
6x+9y=183 .....(iv)
On subtracting (iv) from (iii), we get,
19y=171y=9
by putting y=9 in (i). we get,
3x5(9)=6x=17

length =17 and breadth =9
