The area of a rectangle is 540 cm2 and its length is 36 cm. Find its width and perimeter.

Let the width of the rectangle be x cm.
Length of the rectangle = 36 cm
Area of the rectangle = (Length × Width) = (36 × x) cm2
It is given that the area of the rectangle is 540 cm2.

36 × x= 540x=54036x=15 Width of the rectangle =15 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(Length + Width) cm
= 2(36 + 15) cm
= 102 cm
