The area of a rectangle is 56 cm2 . If its breadth is 7 cm, Find:

  1. Length of the rectangle
  2. Perimeter of the rectangle

Given,

Area of rectangle = 56 cm2

Breadth of rectangle = 7 cm

and let the length be l

Step -1: Find length of the rectangle

Area of rectangle = length×breadth

56=l×7

l=567

l=8cm

Hence, the length of rectangle is 8 cm .

Step -2: Find the perimeter of the rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

=2(8+7)

=2(15)

=30cm

Hence, the perimeter of rectangle is 30 cm .
