Solution

Finding the breadth of the rectangular field

Areaofrectangle=length×breadthlength=Areaofrectanglebreadthlength=42425length=16.96m

Now, if this field is exchanged with a rectangular field of the same area of length 40m.

Areaofrectangle=length×breadth424=40×breadthbreadth=42440=10.6m

Hence, the breadth of the rectangle is 10.6m.

Now, finding the perimeter of the rectangle.

Perimterofrectangle=2l+bPerimeterofrectangle=240+10.6Perimeterofrectangle=101.2m

Hence, the perimeter of rectangle = 101.2m
