The area of a trapezium is 198cm2 and its height is 9cm. If one of the parallelogram sides is longer than the other by 8cm, find the two parallel sides.

Let shorter side = x then longer side = x+8
Area = 12h(a+b)
198=12×9×(x+x+8)
198×29=44=2x+8
2x=36
x=18
shorter side = 18cm
longer side = 26cm
