The area of a Trapezium is 248 sq metre and its height is 8m if one of the parallel sides is smaller than other by 4 m, find two parallel sides.

Given: Area of trapezium= 248 m²
Height (h)= 8 m
Let the one parallel side be=x m
Other parallel side =(x4) m
Area of trapezium = 12 ( sum of parallel sides) × height
248=12(x+x4)×8
248=(2x4)×4
2484=2x4
62=2x4
62+4=2x
66=2x
x=662
x=33
One parallel side (x)=33 m
Other parallel side (x4)=334=29 m
