Let the required other side $=xcm$

Area of the trapezium $=\frac{1}{2}\times$ $($sum of parallel sides$)$ $\times$ $($Height$)$

$34c{m}^2=\frac{1}{2}\times \left(10+x\right)\times 4c{m}^2$

$or,\frac{2\times 34}{4}c{m}^2=10+x$

$or,10+x=17$

$\Rightarrow x=17-10=7cm$

Hence, the required other side$=7cm.$
