Let length of parallel side $= 2 x$ and $x$ ( $∵$ they are in ratio $2 : 1$ )
Area of tapezium $= \frac{1}{2} \times h (a + b) = 720 c m^{2}$ (where $h = 20 c m$ given)
$= \frac{1}{2} \times 20 (2 x + x) = 720$
$= 10 (2 x + x) = 720$
$30 x = 720$
$x = 24$
Hence the length of the parallel sides $= 24 c m$ and $48 c m$
