The area of a trapezium is 90 sq.cm and its height is 6cm. If one of the parallel sides is twice that of the others. Find the length of two parallel sides.

Let the length of the smaller parallel side =x cm

Then the length of the other parallel side =2x cm

Area of trapezium=12×Sum of parallel sides×height

90=12×(x+2x)×6

90=3x×3

90=9x

x=909=10

x=10cm

Hence the length of the two sides are 10cm,20cm
