The area of circle which encloses a square of side 10 cm is

Let ABCD be the square of side 10 cm
Now, in right angled triangle ABC we have
AB2+BC2=AC2, AC being the diagnol.
AC2=102+102⇒AC2=200⇒AC=10√2
Now this AC is diameter of the circle
So Diameter=10√2
2r=10√2⇒r=5√2
radius of circle is 5√2 as
Area of circle will be πr2=π(5√2)2
= 50π cm2
