Let A, B, C, D be the points (4,2),(1,1), (4, 1) and (2, 5) respectively.
Then the area of the quadrilateral ABCD
=12{4×12×1+1×14×1+4×52×1+2×2×5×4}

=12{42+1+4+202+4+20}

=492=24.5sq.units
