Let the length and breadth of the rectangular region $A$ be $x$ and $y$ respectively.

So, the area of rectangular region A =$x\times y$

$=xy$

Now, according to the question ;

Area of rectangular region =$440sqm$

$\Rightarrow xy=440------\left(1\right)$

Now, Since length and breadth of rectangular region $B$ is half of the length and breadth of rectangular region $A$.

So, length and breadth of rectangular region $B$ will be $\frac{x}{2}$and $\frac{y}{2}$

So, area of rectangular region =$\frac{x}{2}\times \frac{y}{2}$

$=\frac{xy}{4}$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{440}{4} \\ =110sqm. \end{gathered}$$

Hence, the area of the region $B$ is $110m^2$.
