Given: Lateral Surface area $= 156$ m
Breadth $= 8$ m height $= 6$ m
$\Rightarrow$ L.S.A $= 2 (b h + l h) = 2 (l + b) h$
$\Rightarrow 156 = 2 (l + 8) h$
$\Rightarrow 156 = 2 (l + 8) \times 6$
$\Rightarrow l + 8 = \frac{156}{12} = 13$
$∴ l = 13 - 8 = 5$ m
Hence, length of the room $= 5$ m
