According to question, ABCD is a trapezium, So AB||DC. Drawing a line CE parallel to DA, we get,

AE=DC=16cm
BE=5cm
In ΔECB
(EC)2+(EB)2=(BC)2
(EC)2+(5)2=(13)2
(EC)2=16925=144
EC=12cm
Area of trapezium =12 (sum of parallel sides) × height
=12(16+21)×12=12×37×12=37×6=222cm2
