In ABC,
Using Pythagoras theorem,
we get,
AC2=AB2+BC2 =82+62 =100.AC=10 m

Area of triangle a triangle = 12×BASE×HEIGHT

Area of triangle ACD = 12×AC×CD as it is a right angled triangle

=12×10×10 =50 m2.
