Given the equation of the line is 3x+4y=12, it can be put in the form x3+y4=1......(1).
From equation (1) it is clear that the y intercept and x intercept made by the line (1) is 4 and 3 units.
So the are of the triangle made by the x,y axes and the line (1) is 12×3×4=6 sq. units.
