Solution

The correct option is B n¯xAm
Arithmetic mean of n observations = ¯x
If x1+x2+.....,xn are n observations then x1+x2+.....+xnn=¯x
x1+x2+.....+xn=n¯x ...........(i)
Also given that the sum of (n-m) observations is A.
x1+x2+.....+xnm=A .........(ii)
From (i)
x1+....+xnm+xnm+1+.....+xn=n¯x
A+xnm+1+.....+xn=n¯x
xnm+1+xnm+2+.....+xn=n¯xA [from (i) and (ii)]
Mean of last m observations,
xnm+1+xnm+2+.....+xnm=n¯xAm
Hence, the correct answer is option b.
