The arm of an electric generator with split rings is rotated clockwise the deflection of the galvanometer will be:
left, continuously.
The direction of magnetic field is from north pole to south pole, i.e- from left to right in the given case and the coil rotates in the clockwise direction.
According to Fleming's right-hand rule if the forefinger indicates the direction of the magnetic field and the thumb indicates the direction of the motion, then the central angle will indicate the direction of the induced current.
Applying Fleming’s right-hand rule on the left arm of the coil, we get the direction of current as from A to B. In the right arm, the direction of current will be from C to D. Hence, the galvanometer deflects to the left. Since the coil is connected to the circuit through split rings, it will be a DC generator and hence, the direction of the current is constant.
