Method :(i)

Given data: ρgas=1 kg/m3; g=9.81 m/s2,
ρm=1000 kg/m3, V=20 m/s

Dynamic pressure of gas=(ρgh)water

12ρgasV2=ρm×9.81×h

12×1×(20)2=1000×9.81×h

or h = 0.02038 m of water
= 20.38 mm of water

Method : (ii)

ρm=1000kg/m3, ρgas=1 kg/m3
V=20 m/s

V=2gh(ρmρgas1)

20=2×9.81×h(100011)

or h=20.40 mm of water
