Global warming
The average increase in the earth's temperature due to the increasing amount of carbon dioxide is called global warming. The increase in temperature is because carbon dioxide has the ability to trap the heat which is radiated by the earth. Since the heat is not able to escape the temperature rises. The greater the amount of carbon dioxide in the air the greater the amount of heat trapped.
