Let first, second and third numbers be $x,y$ and $z$.

According to the question,

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{x+y}{2}=25+\frac{y+z}{2}$

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{x+y}{2}-\frac{(y+z)}{2}=25$

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{x+y-y-z}{2}=25$

$\Rightarrow$ $x-z=50$

$\therefore$ The difference between the first and the third number is $50$
