Solution

The correct option is A Rs. 10, Rs. 16
Let the prices be x1,x2

Given that the price of one book is 60% more than the price of the other.

Therefore, x2=0.6x1+x1

x2=1.6x1 ------(1)

Given that the average price of two books is Rs. 13

Therefore, 13=x1+x22

13=1.6x1+x12

2.6x1=26

x1=10

x2=1.6x1=1.6×10=16

Therefore, the prices of the books are Rs. 10, Rs. 16
