Solution

The correct option is C Friday (–37 °C); Saturday (–27 °C)
Temperature on Friday=FTemperature on Saturday=S

Calculating the average, we get:

Average=2830312829+F+S7=146+F+S7

As we know, the average temperature across the week is –30 °C.

146+F+S7=30146+F+S=210F+S=64

We also know that Friday was colder than Saturday by 10 °C.

F=S10

Combining the equations, we get:

F+S=64(S10)+S=642S=54S=27

Also,

F=S10 =2710 =37

Hence, the temperatures on Friday and Saturday are:

Friday37°CSaturday27°C
