Solution

The average temperature of first 5 days =40oC
Total temperature of 1st day to 5th day =5×40 C=200 C

The average temperature of 2nd to 6th days =42 C
Total temperature of 2nd day to 6th day =5×42 C=210 C

Difference between the temperature =(210200) C=10 C

Let, 3x be first day temperature and 4x be sixth day temperature.
4x3x=10C
x=10 C
6th day temperature =4×10 C=40 C
