Question

The average velocity of a body moving with uniform acceleration after traveling a distance of 3.06m is 0.34m/s if the change in velocity of the body is 0.18m/s during this time it's uniform acceleration is?

Open in App
Solution

first find v and u ,

given, vav= (v+u)/2 =0.34m/s

v+u = 0.68m/s ---------------(1)

change in velocity = v-u =0.18m/s-----------(2)

solving eq.(1) (2) we get,

v=0.43m/s

u=0.25m/s

Now we have u,v and distance, so let us find out the acceleration,

v2 = u2+2as

0.432= 0.252 +2 * a * 3.06

On solving we get a = 0.02m/s^2
