Solution

The correct option is B 25,000
2012:
Number of goods produced = 20,000
Number of goods sold = 15,000
Number of goods carried forward to 2013 = 20,000 – 15,000 = 5,000

2013:
Number of goods produced = 25,000
Number of goods carried forward from 2012 = 5,000
Total goods = 25,000 + 5,000 = 30,000

Number of goods sold = 10,000
Number of goods carried forward to 2014 = 30,000 – 10,000 = 20,000

2014:
Number of goods produced = 35,000
Number of goods carried forward from 2013 = 20,000
Total goods = 35,000 + 20,000 = 55,000

Number of goods sold = 25,000
Number of goods carried forward to 2015 = 55,000 – 25,000 = 30,000

2015:
Number of goods produced = 15,000
Number of goods carried forward from 2014 = 30,000
Total goods = 15,000 + 30,000 = 45,000

Number of goods sold = 20,000
Number of goods carried forward to 2016 = 45,000 – 20,000 = 25,000

Thus, 25,000 goods were carried forward to 2016.
