But AB2+BC2=AC2 (Pythagoras Theorem)
⇒AB2+(5)2=(13)2⇒AB2+25=169
AB2=169−25=144=(12)2
∴AB=12cm
Now area = 12base×altitude
=12×5×12=30cm2
