The correct option is C

In a right triangle base = 5 cm base hypotenuse = 13 cm
But AB2+BC2=AC2 (Pythagoras Theorem)
AB2+(5)2=(13)2AB2+25=169
AB2=16925=144=(12)2
AB=12cm
Now area = 12base×altitude
=12×5×12=30cm2
