Using Pythagoras theorem,

${AC}^2={AB}^2+{BC}^2{AB}^2={AC}^2-{BC}^2={10}^2-6^2=100-36AB=\sqrt{64}=8cm$

Altitude$=AB=8$ cm

Now , Area of triangle $=\frac{1}{2}\times base\times altitude$
