Let base be 4x m and height be 5x m.

12×4x×5x=40.

and height of Δ =5x m

area of Δ=40m2

12 base × height =area of Δ

12×4x×5x=40

10x2=40

x2=4

x=4

x =2

base =4x=4×2=8m

height =5x=5×2=10m

8 m; 10 m
