The base and the height of a triangle are in the ratio 4:5. If the area of the triangle is 40m2; find its base and height.

The base and the height of a triangle are in the ratio =4:5
So,
Base=4x
Height=5x
Since, area of the triangle =40 m2
12×4x×5x=40
20x2=80
x2=4
x=2
Therefore,
Base=4×2=8 m
Height=5×2=10 m
