Diameter = 18cm
Hence Radius (R) = 9cm
Height (H) =24cm

Cylinder 2 (recast)
Diameter = 12 cm
Hence Radius (r) = 6cm
Height (h) = 6cm

Let the number of new cylinders cast = n

Hence Volume of Cylinder 1 = n× Volume of Cylinder 2

πR2H=nπr2h

π×9×9×24=n×π×6×6×6

n = 9×9×246×6×6

n = 9

Number of new cylinders cast = 9
