Solution

The correct option is A
Given : area of base = 616 sq. cm
Height of conical tent = h = 48 cm
To find : total surface area of the conical tent.
Radius of the base = let r
Then, π×(r2)=616 sq.m(r2)=((616π))=196 sq.mr=196=14 m
Now, the total surface area of a cone is given by,
S =( Area of curved surface of cone + area of the base)
=(π×r×l)+(π×r×r)=π×r×(l+r)
where, l = the slant height of the cone
I={(h)2+(r)2}={(48)2+(14)2}=(2304+196)=2500=50 mSo,S=π×(14)×(50+14)=π×(1464)=2816 sq.m
